Our Story

High Voltage Cafe is more than just food and coffee. We have two locations in Asbury Park, NJ, one of the beach and one downtown. Both locations are equally fun yet distinctively different.

Located on the boardwalk, our seafront cafe stares straight at the ocean. Here you'll find delicious coffee from modcup of Jersey City, NJ and Maiden Coffee Roasters of Neptune, NJ. Food is Polish inspired thanks to co-owner Sonia Jozatis who is a native of Poland. Think handmade pierogies with sage sour cream, and the most banging avocado toast you've ever had.

Our drink program features espresso brewed from a vintage, yellow La San Marco espresso machine we lovingly call Big Bird, drip, pour over, cold brew, a variety of teas and more. Our lavender latte is not to be missed. Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 2pm. In the winter months this space becomes a peaceful place to sit on our green couch and gaze at the sea while sipping coffee, book in hand. In the summer months Asbury Park comes to life and we transform into the perfect people watching spot with our quaint outdoor seating.

High Voltage Cafe features authentic Polish inspired cuisine, with recipes straight from the motherland. We also serve delicious coffee drinks sourced from our friends at both Mod Cup in Jersey City, NJ and Maiden Coffee Roasters in Neptune, NJ.

We strive to serve organic ingredients whenever possible and source much of our produce and other items locally. We also use 100% compostable coffee cups, lids, to-go packaging and more. Why? Because we give a damn.

Our Springwood Ave. cafe features a small, organic grocery selling fresh breads, cheeses, dairy products, produce, vegetables and more.
